Diamond
was whelped on June 6th, 2002, which happened to be Keith’s parent’s
fiftieth wedding anniversary. Her dam is Bolduc’s Miss T Moon from
Tacoma, Washington, and her sire is Ch. Berlaune’s Causin an Uproar.
SOM.
We
feel like Diamond was just meant to be with us. It was fate. We
had chosen the name Diamond because of my love for jewelry long
before we located our new puppy. As it turns out, Diamond has a
rough diamond blaze on the back of her neck. Some things are just
meant to be.

The
best description of Diamond is she IS a force to be reckoned with.
Diamond is ALL ATTITUDE. You cannot ignore her, she demands your
attention. Our friend and fellow Louisiana Boxer Club member Karen
McCrory of Wildwoods Kennel has nicknamed her “Princess Di, the
later years”. Diamond is all about attitude.
Little
Miss Di is also an escape artist. Keith likes to refer to her as
“Houdini dog”. Just ask Ike and Karen. We had been telling them
that Diamond studies the locks on the crates and if she can get
to them, she will open them. Well, at one of the shows, not once
but twice, Karen found Diamond sitting in her crate with the door
wide open. After that, Karen hid and watched Diamond use her tongue
and lips to have the door open again in no time. Now they use extra
clips on her crate.
On
December 6th, 2002, on her 6 month birthday at the Pearl River Kennel
Club in Gonzales, Louisiana, Diamond earned her first 2 points and
started her career with a bang. Diamond took Winners Bitch and Best
of Winners under Judge W.C.Stebbins. It was a great win, but unfortunately
Keith and I couldn’t be there. Our son had a soccer tournament that
weekend in Lake Charles. I will never forget Keith getting the call
from Ike and Tammy. Keith was excited and saying “What happened?”
“She did what? You have to tell Denise!” It was amazing. Ike, Tammy
and Carole had all stressed beforehand that it was just a learning
process for Diamond and not to expect her to win. Needless to say,
Diamond spoiled us.
What
can I say! Diamond started her show career on a winning note. But
she has her moments in the ring. Ike likes to refer to them as her
“blonde moments”. She will start acting silly and clowning around.
Oh well, if a girl can’t have fun, what good is life.
~~~First and foremost, she is our beloved pet, part of the family.
Win, lose, or draw ~~~ We love her and she knows it. The bottom
line is that's all that's important. She's happy, healthy, and well
loved.
