Pete
was whelped on July 18th, 2002. His dam is Ellis’ Tribute to Nandi.
His sire is Ch. Ruffian’s Alleged,” Gavin”. You can read the story
of how Pete joined our family on the About
Us page.
What
can you say about Pete? He’s drop-dead gorgeous! That head is to
die for. Pete is a chip off the old block and almost a carbon copy
of his dad, Gavin. Pete is following in his father’s footsteps.
Keith
fell in love with Pete the first time he laid eyes on him and wanted
him. For Keith, it was Pete’s looks. For me it was his fantastic
personality that won me over. Everybody loves Pete. He’s an easy
dog to love, so sweet and so loving. He has that easy going and
carefree personality, but get him in the ring and he knows what
he’s there for. We knew Pete was special from the moment we saw
him.
Pete
has had many nicknames,” Pistol Pete”, “Pissing Pete”(Ike didn’t
share that Pete wasn’t housebroken—THANKS IKE!!!!!!!!), “Sweet Pete”.
Peter Russki (have no idea where Keith came up with this one) and.
as Keith likes to say, “Perfect Pete”.
Pete
is our first champion, and we are soooo proud of him. He made champion
at the ripe young age of 13 ½ months on Sept.7, 2003, at the Louisiana
Kennel Club in Mandeville, Louisiana. That weekend he had back to
back majors under Judges Carl Liepmann and Judge Shelli Sinclair-Woods.
Through his career Pete has won 4 grand sweepstakes and was best
junior in two other sweepstakes. Pete won his first Best Of Breed
on Oct. 5th, 2003, at the Baytown Kennel Club in Humble, Texas,
under Darryl Vice at the age of 14 ½ months old. Keith and I want
to thank Ike and Tammy Liotto and Carole Suter for having faith
in us and allowing Pete to join our family.
It’s
been a wild ride, and we hope the rides not over. Be watching for
Pete
(and Ike) in the show ring again starting in the Winter of 2004.
