JULY 5, 2004  WHAT A SPECIAL DAY FOR RUFFBOXERS!!!!!!
Diamond and Pete are the proud parents of 8 healthy puppies. Diamond delivered all eight puppies naturally with no problems. 1 plain brindle male was born first at 10:20 am and his plain brindle sister joined him at 10:58 am. Next two flashy males were born at 11:25 and 11:40, both having a half white collar. Pup # 5 a flashy female was born at 12 noon and our totally flashy male joined his sister at 12:10pm. Pup # 7 a female with a full collar entered the world at 1:25 pm and immediately her baby sister joined the gang at 1:33pm.

Ike decided to drive down and help us cuz it was both Diamond and my first delivery (Keith had helped deliver cows and horses, back on the farm.) It's a two hour drive, and Ike almost missed all the fun. Ike showed up after pup #6 was born. Ike was here for the last two puppies, and we appreciate Ike more than he knows. Ike is a great friend/mentor.

After all the excitement was over, Ike returned home, and Pete joined him. They have a full month of shows between San Antonio, Houston, and Ohio shows. It's going to be hard with Pete gone for most of the month of July, but I think our hands will be filled caring for the puppies.

7/8/04-7/18/04  Pete and Ike had a rough run at the Texas shows. HighTech's Basic Edition (Currently #2 boxer in US) was down for the shows and took Texas by storm. You win some and you lose some!!! On 7/18/04 under Judge Sandra Orr Pete placed BOS at the Bluebonnet Boxer's Club Special. We are pleased that Judge Orr acknowledges Pete's quality.

6/24/04-6/27/04  Pete and Ike were in Hattiesburg, MS, this weekend for the Greater Hattiesburg KC and Meri-Miss KC shows. Pete won BOB 2 out of the 4 shows and placed BOS on the other two days. Judges Robert Sharp and Patti Long Smith gave Pete his BOB. Judges William Cunningham and Doug Shipley gave Pete BOS. Another great weekend for Pete and Ike.

May, 2004

5/7/04 Pete was competing for BOB and he made the first cut under Judge Stephanie Alexander at ABC. There are so many beautiful boxers competing. Judge Alexander told Ike (Pete's handler) that she loved him, but he's still a little immature. Pete's not even 2 years old.

5/28/04 La. Boxer Club Specialty show, and Pete won BBIS under Judge Terry Berrios. How exciting to see Pete win against tough competition at our own club's show.

5/29/04 La. Kennel Club with Judge Mrs. Edetrand Laurin Pete won BOB and went on to take a Group 2 placement. Pete was looking good today and we were so happy to have been there in person.

5/30/04 Pete was given BOS by Judge Constance Barton at the La KC. Judge Barton told Ike she really liked Pete, but he just didn't want to bait. Pete's still young, and he has to learn.

5/31/04 At the Riverside KC Judge R.G. Gschwender gave Pete BOB.

We want to thank all the judges for a fantastic weekend in Mandeville. Pete won 3 out of 4 days for BOB. What a great weekend!!!

March, 2004

3/6/04 It was a very special day today for Ruff boxers. At the Comal County Kennel Club both our kids did GREAT . Diamond picked up more points towards her championship, and Pete picked up another BOB under Judge Robert Moore. Diamond was Best of Opposite Sex. Hooray!!!!! Way to go kids. You made us proud! Thank you Judge Robert Moore for this double victory! And of course it's been five months since Diamond's last win so she's still on her five months plan. I thought we had worked that out, and she would drop the 5 months plan.

3/13/04 Under Judge JR Cole Diamond picked up a Reserve win at the Houston Kennel Club, and was Best of Opposite Sex.

3/20/04 At the Texas Kennel Club under Judge Carl Leipmann, Diamond picked up her first 4 point major, and we are SOOOOO HAPPY. She also won Best of Opposite Sex. Normally, Diamond waits until we are NOT at the show to win, but today she worked her magic while we were watching. She looked FANTASTIC!!! Thank you Judge Carl Leipmann. The judge remembered Diamond from the show in Mandeville when he gave her a Reserve win. So glad we were there.

3/28/04 Under Judge Patricia Hess Pete won BOB at the Brazos Valley KC. Thank you Judge Hess for this wonderful win.

What a month!!!! Diamond broke her 5 month plans!!! The jinx is broken. And Pete moved up to # 18 in the Top Twenty.

February, 2004

2/14/04 On Valentine's Day and the one year anniversary of Pete coming to live with us Pete won BOB at the Guadalupe Valley Dog fancier show in San Antonio. What a wonderful Valentine present for my husband. Thank you judge Darryl Vice.

2/21/04 Pete was awarded an award of merit under Judge Merlin Van DeKinder at the Ochlockonee River Kennel Club in a very competition Florida show circuit. We are proud of Pete and thank the judge for this award.

2/28/04 At the Pensacola Dog Fancier in Pensacola, Florida, Pete won a BOB under Judge Patricia Hess . We drove up that morning and were so excited to see our boy win BOB. Thank you Judge Patricia Hess for this exciting win. It was very tough competition. Exciting news for Feb. Pete broke into the Top Twenty for Jan. Pete is listed as # 20. Way to go Pete!!!!
